About ATLAS

ATLAS, in Greek mythology, is a Titan—god of enormous size and strength—who held up the pillars of the universe. He was eventually turned into an eponymous mountain range in western North Africa.

The figure of ATLAS with planet earth on his back was printed at the front of collections of maps in the late 1600s.

Maps, diagrams or charts bound in a volume since then have been referred to as an atlas.

Planet earth is home to all living species, including mankind. Please love and protect it.

"Saving our planet is now a communications challenge."
